Lisa Cardenas is a tattoo artist who was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. She received an illustration degree at the UofA and started tattooing in 2008. Lisa’s tattoo style reflects a combination of realism and graphic illustration, with heavy inspiration from elements of nature and the Sonoran Desert. She specializes in saguaro tattoos and enjoys drawing all desert flora and fauna, primarily in black and gray, sometimes with bursts of color. Her love of Tucson and the Sonoran Desert clearly shows in all her art.

Lisa has been voted Tucson Weekly’s Best Tattoo Artist from 2017-2025. She founded Haunted Hands in 2012, first as a private studio, growing it into a full tattoo shop at this location in 2020, where she enjoys decorating the space and commiserating with her fellow tattoo artists.
